So what kind of research can I participate in at Purdue? Click here to find out.

So what kind of research goes on at Purdue anyway? Click here to find out.

The purpose of this site is to educate human subject research participants about:

>>the research process, and

>>your rights as a human subject.

The pictures to the right are links to a video sequence that tells a story of one student's experience as a human research participant.

Each video shows different aspects of being involved as a human research subject accompanied by a list of questions you might ask if you were particpating in a research project.

By the end of the story we hope that you'll be familiar with terms like informed consent and irb.

We also hope that should you decide to participate in research as a human subject, you will be able to ask good questions of the investigators, yourself, and others so that you will have the best possible experience as a human research participant. What are the questions I need to ask before I decide to participate in a research study?
