What permissions are required before live vertebrate animals can be used at the university

Live vertebrate animals may not be used in any activity at the university unless a protocol has first been submitted to and approved by PACUC.
- The one exception to this is non-obtrusive observation for purposes of research or teaching.
Protocol Procedures cannot be changed without prior approval of your supervisor and PACUC.
Make sure you understand what procedures you are approved to do with the animals — if in doubt, ask!
